Fire damage restoration: cleanup and rebuild under one call
Remediate Renovation takes fire damage restoration from cleanup to rebuild in the San Francisco Bay Area and Dallas–Fort Worth, and our phone is answered by a person 24/7. A fire leaves three jobs behind: what burned, what the smoke reached, and the water the fire department used. We take all three, and then put the house back together.

Why one company
Why fire restoration goes better with one crew start to finish
The usual split
One company cleans, another rebuilds, and the house sits open in between while the second one learns what the first one found.
Our way
The people who cleared the burned rooms hand them straight to the rebuild, with the photos and the list of what came out.
What you get back
A cleaned house, the burned parts rebuilt with new material, and one file that shows the whole job.
Who you deal with
One phone number from the first walk-through to the last coat of paint.
What the work covers
What does fire damage restoration include?
The first walk-through
Photographs of every room as we find it, before anything moves.
Fire and smoke cleanup
Burned material out, smoke cleaned from the rooms the fire never reached.
Water from the fire hoses
Wet floors and walls dried and measured before anything is closed up.
Air ducts
Cleaned after the smoke work, so they don't carry residue back into clean rooms.
The rebuild
Walls, floors, kitchens and baths put back with new material.
How it goes
How a fire restoration goes, from walk-through to move-in
Walk-through
We see the house with you and write the plan, room by room.
Clear and clean
Burned material out, smoke cleaned, hose water dried.
Ducts
The heating and cooling system cleaned last.
Rebuild and hand back
New material in, and the house handed back.
The first consultation and quote are free.
The claim file
What goes into the claim file for a fire
Photos first
Every room photographed at the first walk-through, before cleanup starts.
What left the house
Each item that could not stay, photographed and listed on its way out.
Line-item estimates
In the industry's standard estimating format, from the cleanup through the rebuild.
Coverage is between you and your policy. Our part is the documentation.
The parts of a fire restoration, on their own pages
This page is the whole job, from the first walk-through to the day the house is handed back. If the fire stayed small and you only need the smoke and soot cleaned, the cleanup page covers that part on its own, and each other part has its own page too.

Questions
What people ask about fire damage restoration
How long does fire damage restoration take, from cleanup to move-in?
It depends on how far the fire and smoke reached, and we do not guess before the walk-through. The order is fixed: clearing and cleanup, drying where the hoses left water, ducts last, then the rebuild. The plan we write after the walk-through gives you the sequence for your house.
Can the burned rooms be rebuilt while the rest of the house is cleaned?
The rooms that burned are cleared first, and the smoke cleanup of the rest of the house is planned around them. Rebuilding starts in each area once its cleanup and drying are done, so the steps follow each other room by room rather than all waiting for the last one.
Does one claim file cover both the cleanup and the rebuild?
Yes, on our side the documentation is one file. Photos from the first walk-through, what was removed and why, and line-item estimates in the industry's standard estimating format, carried from the cleanup into the rebuild. Coverage itself is between you and your policy.
Do you also deal with the water the fire department left behind?
Yes. Hose water soaks floors, walls and the spaces under them, often in rooms the fire never touched. We dry those areas and take moisture readings before anything is closed up or rebuilt, so the rebuild does not seal water in behind new walls or floors.
