Why kitchens get remodeled
Something went wrong, or the room stopped working.
Water got in
A leak under the sink or behind the dishwasher runs under cabinets and floors before anyone sees it. Once the wet material is out and the structure is dry, the kitchen needs to be put back.
The layout no longer fits
Counters that are too small, a floor that is worn through, a room that worked for someone else. Nothing is broken, but the kitchen is not working for you.
What you get back
New material where it is needed, the rest protected while we work, and a kitchen you can use again.
Who you deal with
One call. If there was damage, the drying hands straight over to the rebuild, so nothing is lost between the two.
What the work covers
What a kitchen remodel includes
Every kitchen is different, so the list is set on the first visit. These are the parts it is built from.
Tear-out with containment
Plastic walls close off the kitchen from the rest of the house before anything comes out.
Counters and backsplash
Old tops out, new counters and backsplash in, sinks and cooktops set into the new surface.
Floors
The old floor comes up and the new one goes down while the cabinets stay covered.
Cabinets protected or replaced
Cabinets that stay are wrapped while the work goes on. Cabinets that cannot stay are replaced.
Insurance documentation on damage rebuilds
Photos, moisture readings and line-item estimates in the industry's standard estimating format.
A real job in Fremont, 2026
One kitchen, from tear-out to finished
Water under the floor, mold found under it, everything wet taken out and dried. Then the kitchen was rebuilt with new stone counters, a new backsplash and a new floor.
How it goes
Four steps, in this order
Consultation
We come and see the kitchen. On a damage job, moisture readings come first, before anything else is decided.
Design
What stays, what goes, and what goes in: counters, backsplash, floor, cabinets.
Planning
Materials chosen, containment set, and on a claim, the documentation ready for the adjuster.
Construction
Tear-out behind plastic, then the build, through our licensed construction partner.

Materials
What went into one real kitchen
These are not a catalog. They are the materials from the Fremont job, shown so you can see real work rather than samples.

Cost and planning
What sets the price and the timing
What moves the price
How much comes out, what goes in, and the materials you pick. On a damage job, also what we find once the floor or cabinets are opened.
Timing
On a damage job, the rebuild starts when the readings say dry, not before. On a remodel, the schedule is set once the materials are chosen.
Insurance
Coverage is between you and your policy. We document the loss for the claim: photos, moisture readings, and line-item estimates in the industry's standard estimating format.

Questions
What people ask about kitchen remodels
Do you remodel kitchens that were never damaged?
Yes. Construction and remodeling is its own line of work for us, not only the rebuild after damage. A kitchen that no longer fits the way you live is reason enough.
Can you rebuild my kitchen after water damage, as part of the insurance claim?
Yes. We document the loss for the claim: photos, moisture readings, and line-item estimates in the industry's standard estimating format. The rebuild starts when the readings say the structure is dry. Coverage is between you and your policy.
What does a kitchen remodel with you include?
It depends on the kitchen. It can include tear-out behind plastic containment, new counters and backsplash, the floor, and cabinets that are either protected in place or replaced. On the Fremont job that meant stone counters and backsplash, a cooktop set into the counter, and a large tile floor, with the cabinets wrapped and kept.
How do you price a kitchen remodel?
From your kitchen, not from a price list. What comes out, what goes in, the materials you choose, and what we find once things are opened up. We come and see the kitchen first, then give you an estimate. On a damage job the claim documentation follows the industry's standard estimating format.
Who does the work, and are they licensed?
Remodeling and reconstruction are done through our licensed construction partner. We are insured, and you deal with one call from the damage to the finished kitchen.
If there was mold, can my old cabinets be cleaned and kept?
No. Everything the mold touched is replaced with new material, never cleaned and reused. Cabinets the mold did not touch can be protected and kept.
Can I see kitchens you have done?
Yes. The Fremont job has its own page with every stage, from the first moisture readings to the finished kitchen, and the portfolio has the video of each public job.
